WALLS AROUND THE WORLD

DOES @ AUSTRALIA

DOWN UNDER

I feel an intense gratitude when it comes to Australia. I moved to Sydney after an injury ended my athletic pursuits at the age of 28. It was inspiring to spend my days in a big city on the other side of the world and it was here that I was able to completely free my mind and take some important steps in my development: besides murals I started to focus more on detailed illustrations and canvas work.

PROJECTS | AUSTRALIA

DOES's projects in Australia range from exhibitions, to painting with friends, to big murals, exclusive dinner parties, book signings, store designs, public speaking and private commissions.

Between the lines

Solo show in Melbourne. The title of the show, ‘Between The Lines’, is a reference to DOES’s clean style and eye for detail.

Brick in the wall

To mark the opening of a new store, DOES dedicated a few days chipping away at this feature 'cement-mural'.

FOOD & ART

The menu combined fine taste with colors inspired on DOES’s recent work. In between the sounds of cutlery and cheerful chatter DOES tells guests about his story and projects.

Design Conference

DOES flew to Brisbane to speak at The Design Conference and to paint a 20 meter wide mural in Toowoomba.

PASSING THROUGH

At Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, DOES created this wall with the intention of providing for a sense of direction simulating the movement of people passing by. The colors were inspired on the lush green surroundings of the area and the often blue-skies.

I LOVE LETTERS

For his first solo exhibition in Sydney, DOES created this explosive and colorful center piece. It did absolute justice to the words of the gallery presenting DOES as being recognized for his dazzling choice of colours, his eye for detail and his continuous search for the perfect form.
